Who I am
This is the website of Alan Ohara, operating as ʻĀkolea Visual, a solo visual design practice based in Hilo, Hawaiʻi. You can reach me at alan@akoleavisual.com.

What information I collect
This site collects information you voluntarily provide through the contact form — your name, email address, and any details you share about your project. If you use the project estimator, your responses and email address are collected to generate and deliver your estimate.

I do not collect payment information, sell your data, or share it with third parties except as described below.

How I use your information
Information you submit is used only to respond to your inquiry or deliver your estimate. I may follow up by email regarding your project. I do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

Analytics
This site uses Google Tag Manager to manage analytics and tracking scripts. Through GTM, this site may collect anonymized data about how visitors find and use the site — pages visited, time on site, referral source, and general geographic region. This data is aggregated and used solely to improve the site experience. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected through their services and can be found at google.com/privacy.

This site also uses Microsoft Clarity, a behavioral analytics tool that records anonymized session data including mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior. Clarity helps me understand how visitors interact with the site so I can improve usability and content. Microsoft's privacy policy applies to data collected through Clarity and can be found at privacy.microsoft.com. Clarity may use cookies and local storage to function.

I cannot identify individual visitors from analytics data collected by either platform.

Cookies
This site uses cookies necessary for basic site functionality. Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity set additional cookies to support analytics and session recording. If you interact with embedded third-party tools such as Vimeo videos or maps, those services may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.

Third-party services
This site is built on Webflow and hosted on their infrastructure. Analytics are managed through Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity. Project estimator emails are delivered via Resend. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party platforms.

Data retention
Project inquiry emails are retained in my inbox for the duration of our working relationship and a reasonable period thereafter. Analytics data is retained according to the data retention settings of each respective platform.

Your rights
You may request that I delete any personal information you have submitted by emailing alan@akoleavisual.com. I will respond within a reasonable timeframe. Note that anonymized analytics data collected by third-party platforms may not be deletable on my end.

Changes to this policy
I may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
